Children give us so much. They come into the world with a contagious smile and it is not long before they make us laugh. They give us a sense of humor and maturity beyond our years. Each developmental achievement is a milestone in our lives as well. We rejoice in their success and they give us pride and a reason for tomorrow. Children offer us the opportunity to share in the simplicity and innocence that we have lost along the way. We are rejuvenated as we reminisce about our own youth. Children allow us to momentarily slow our pace so we can recapture and share their inquisitiveness about our surroundings.
