Saul K. Sokolow, M.D.

Dr. Sokolow, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of New York’s Queens College in 1973, received his medical degree at Cornell University in 1977. He completed his residency at the University of Rochester School of Medicine in 1980. Dr. Sokolow is a board certified physician and has admitting privileges at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester General Hospital, Highland Hospital and Park Ridge Hospital. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and holds the position of Associate Professor in Pediatrics at the University of Rochester.

Dr. Sokolow is the managing partner of Fairport Pediatrics and has been with us since 1982. He and his family live in Penfield.




Richard A. Bloom, M.D.

Dr. Bloom is a Rochester native who graduated from Brighton High School in 1970. He spent the next ten years in Cleveland, Ohio at Case Western Reserve University, where he earned an undergraduate degree in biology in 1974. He had a unique opportunity to serve as the assistant to the University Vice President and Treasurer for 1½ years. He then entered the medical school and obtained his medical degree in l979. Dr. Bloom completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at the Children’s Memorial Hospital of Chicago, a division of the Northwestern University School of Graduate Medical Education. He continues to be active in the alumni affairs for Case Western Reserve University.

Dr. Bloom began practice in the Rochester area in 1982 at the Northeast Medical Group as part of Rochester General Hospital. He joined Fairport Pediatrics in 1985 and over the years has been active in the community as a school health physician for the city school district, a member of a children with disabilities task force, and has taught family prenatal classes. Dr. Bloom has served on pediatric advisory committees to insurers and mentored high school students from Honeoye Falls, Pittsford, Victor, and Fairport school districts in the exploration of health care fields.

Dr. Bloom is a past president of the Rochester Pediatric Society and is a member of the University of Rochester department of pediatrics clinical faculty and is involved in medical student education. He is on the staff and attends older patients at Rochester General Hospital and Strong Memorial and newborns at Strong Memorial, Highland, Rochester General Hospitals, and Park Ridge.

Dr. Bloom lives in the Bushnell Basin area of Pittsford. He enjoys travel, gardening snorkeling, is a collector of antique American Indian artifacts, plays softball and has been a Rochester American hockey season ticket holder for over 20 years.




Jeffrey C. Eisenberg, M.D.

Dr. Eisenberg, a Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Virginia, received his medical degree from the University of Virginia before completing his residency in pediatrics from the University of Rochester. Dr. Eisenberg, a board certified pediatrician, is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and holds the position of Associate Professor in Pediatrics at the University of Rochester. He lives in Pittsford with his wife, a nurse practitioner, and his three children.




Bogdan Mscichowski, M.D.

Dr. Mscichowski is a board-certified pediatrician who enjoys all aspects of pediatrics from visiting newborns in the nursery to treating college-age young adults. He is a Poland native who completed his pediatric residency at The Dartmouth Medical School after a two-year program at the Jersey City Medical Center. Dr. Mscichowski received his medical degree from the Medical School of Bialystok, Poland in 1981. He is an Associate Attending Pediatrician at the University of Rochester, Highland Hospital and Rochester General Hospital. He lives in Brighton with his wife and two children.




Jack Finnell, M.D.

Dr. Finnell, who was born and raised in the Rochester area, is a 1988 graduate of Brighton High School. He received his bachelor’s of science degree in biology from St. Lawrence University in 1992, and went on to receive his medical degree from Boston’s Tufts University School of Medicine in 1996. Dr. Finnell completed his residency at the University of Rochester in 1999. He is an American Board of Pediatrics certified pediatrician who currently holds the position of Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester, and has admitting privileges at Strong Memorial Hospital, Highland Hospital and Rochester General Hospital. Dr. Finnell is an avid fan of all sports including soccer and scholastic wrestling. He lives in Pittsford with his wife and two children.




Sara Dovichi, M.D.

Dr. Dovichi joined the practice in the summer of 2004. She earned her undergraduate degree in 1996 and medical degree in 2000, both at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She completed her pediatric residency at Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong where she served as the chief resident. Dr. Dovichi is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester. She has admitting privileges at Strong Memorial Hospital, Highland Hospital, Park Ridge Hospital and Rochester General Hospital. Dr. Dovichi has an extensive history of child advocacy through her experiences as a nursery school teacher and her involvement in Special Olympics. She lives in Rochester with her husband and three sons.




Stephanie Emerson, R.N., M.S., F.N.P.

Stephanie is a Keuka College graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She went on to receive her Masters Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Rochester where she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Stephanie enjoys pediatrics and all the challenges it brings. She lives in Mendon with her husband and three sons. Stephanie and her family enjoy sports, music and outdoor activities.




Holly Terzo, R.N, M.S., P.N.P.

Holly received her AAS degree as a Registered Nurse from Jefferson Community College in 1992. After completing he BSN at SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse in 1997 she received her MSN as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from the University of Rochester in 1999. Holly lives in Fairport with her husband and two children.




Michelle Slymon, R.N, M.S., C.P.N.P.

Michelle has been a pediatric nurse practitioner with Fairport Pediatrics since 1993. She complete her undergraduate degree in nursing from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Michelle moved to Rochester and worked as a staff nurse at Strong Memorial Hospital while completing her graduate degree at the University of Rochester. She is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. In 2009 Michelle received her certification as a lifestyle counselor in weight management. She allows time in her schedule to see patients who may have concerns about exercise, diet and healthy choices. Michelle lives in Honeoye Falls with her husband Dave and their two children.
